Sir Clough Williams-Ellis (1883-1978) was one of the leading pioneers of conservation, environmentalism and architectural design in the twentieth century.
His influence was national and international but he was also totally committed to the area of North Wales where he lived. His passion was the conservation and, where appropriate, the development and the re-invention of the natural and architectural beauty of the area. The Foundation exists to ensure the conservation of Clough’s legacy and the continuation of his vision.
